Use to crash but works very good now
Very good app, but you have to recognise freedom of speech.... Stop deleting comment that go against your opinion...
Helps keep up with the minor issues t home!
Good application. Interesting content. I check it regularly.
Im not Irish and I dont live in Ireland but I do enjoy this App and use it every day!
Fantastic app, current up to date news from home. Valid, uncensored user comments. Gives me the news I want to know about, without all the fluff.
Excellent app. Up to the minute news. Best out there.
Excellent way to keep abreast of the news back home. Easily the best Irish news app
Best irish news, period. One if the best news sources in general as well. Informative, entertaining, serious and democratic. Great simple app as well!
Easy to use with great articles. Its so easy to post your own opinion and see the views of others. Best Irish news app by far
Direct and to the point, easy to find stories that are of interest to me. Readers comments provide local opinions. Great APP
As an emigrant I miss Irish humour and debate more than most things and here I can get a daily digest of news, both serious and quirky, with some silliness thrown in, and there is always a bit of nostalgia that brings back great memories. As on any news website the comments are often biased and annoying but sometimes they are very informative and hit the nail right on the head. My favourite features are the Sitdown Sundays, where you will find five or six well written, thought provoking articles from around the world, the historical places series, and the Explainers, which give a synopsis of the background of a complex news story, e.g. "Whats going on in Syria?" This app is a must for anyone with an Irish background.
Who even watches the news nowadays, the journal has all if the news all over the world
Brilliant news app. Lovely design, great to-the-point news stories, nice photos, great weekend reads, and witty reader comments. Love it - thats a command !!
Since I left Ireland, the Journal.ie app is the best way for me to get a good idea of whats happening in Ireland, including all the gossip, funny stories and web round-ups that the Irish Times app would never have. In five minutes, with a couple of strokes, I know everything I need to for the day.
Like the mix of news, interest and fact checking.
The Journal is a great source of news and information from home. They get a lot of hassle from some readers but by-and-large its a great mix of articles. My favourite part are the Comment sections. Some brilliant discussions and thoughts. Lots of laughs in there as well.
The app is easy to navigate and has a good balance of serious news and light fare.
I read it daily or twice a day every day. The Irish news is interesting, but the world and European coverage are even better. Add to that the special humor or Irish culture/landscape/history bits and, well I already said it - fantastic
